Outer Banks Fishing Reports

Tilefish, Dolphin & King Mackerel

We spent the day with another wonderful family. We had a slow pick with some dolphin, a king and an amberjack (that had lost his way). With time running out, and only a handful of fish to show for a lot of effort, we decided to go get some tilefish. After all, the prospect of bringing home a great catch of dolphin & tuna was looking pretty bleak, and we always want everyone to catch lots of fish. While we were getting our limit of those tasty critters, some of the boats stuck it out trolling. That was the right move today. A few of those boats got hammered in the last hour, and brought home some outstanding catches. Some days you need to turn left, other days, right.

While the fishing may have been slow for us today, we had a wonderful time with Bert & family. Come see us. Next time we will turn the other way.
