Alice Kelly Ladies Only Billfish Tournament

We had a great bunch of ladies aboard for a very special cause today. The Alice Kelly Ladies Only Billfish Tournament is a charity event, which raises money for cancer research. While a lone white marlin did make an appearance in the spread, we didn’t manage to catch any billfish. However, Suzie Anderson did a wonderful job reeling in a very nice wahoo. The 33 pounder came up 3 pounds short of winning the largest wahoo trophy. Thanks ladies, we really enjoyed spending the day with y’all. We can’t wait til next year.

A Pile of Fish

We had a pile of fish for the “Pauls” today. It was a slow start, but persistence paid off. These local folks were very patient while we searched the ocean for a few fish. Once we found a few bailers, they stayed on them & did an excellent job coaxing them into the boat. Even the tile fish were hiding today. It took a while to find them. But once again our anglers worked them over good, boating a limit (along with some big sea bass). Thanks Pauline, Paul, Paul, Paul & Paul, we enjoyed it.

A few Dolphin & Tilefish

Published on July 13th, 2007 | Click for more | Add Your Comment

Today, we had a wonderful family along for their first time. We had a few dolphin and a few tile fish. We didn’t set the world on fire, but had a fun time with the Curtis’. The weather along the beach was pretty ugly, for the last few miles of the ride back in. And the rain didn’t allow for any photos at the dock. Thanks folks, come back to see us.
